Mindanao Open draws record field to Davao
Seven rounds, a full crosstable published within the hour, and every entry fee accounted for before the first move.

The Mindanao Open finished on Sunday evening in Davao City, and the full standings were on this site before the hall had emptied.
Seven rounds, paired by the Dutch system, with Buchholz Cut-1 and Sonneborn-Berger as tie-breaks in the standard FIDE order. Every result, every tie-break value and every player's rating change is published on the tournament page, and each name links through to that player's own record where the same games appear again in their Calculations tab.
The entry fee breakdown went up at the same time. Players knew before they registered what proportion of their fee would become prize money, and they could check afterwards that it had.
Two performances stood out in the junior section, where three players in the top ten were under eighteen — a pattern the grassroots programme is beginning to show across the southern regions.
